PRACTICAL NATURE CARE
Small actions for a cleaner lake
On 24 October 2026 Geofishing organized a cleanup at the Viiratsi landing area of Lake Viljandi. Over two hours, participants collected various kinds of waste from the shore and surrounding area. Children joined in, making environmental care an opportunity for hands-on learning.

THE RESULT
A cleaner lakeshore. More knowledge.
Returnable containers, glass, rope, plastic, many barbecue packages and other litter were collected. A rusty metal drum filled with rubbish was also removed. All collected waste was taken to a waste facility.
Hands-on learning helped the children notice aquatic and land plants as well as litter that does not belong in nature.
