Practical and smart

The BETA map, STEM app and boat-rental platform make discovering and using waterbodies easier, safer and more informative.

Learning at every age

Learning materials and developing STEM tools support nature education from primary school foundations to advanced analysis.

Lake Viljandi pilot project

Support from the Viljandi City Government

The Viljandi City Government has reviewed the idea of the Geofishing Lake Viljandi pilot project and considers the project important because it provides necessary environmental information and helps advance environmental education in the city’s educational institutions and more broadly.

According to the City Government, the Geofishing Lake Viljandi pilot project helps improve the availability of user information about Lake Viljandi, supports nature education and increases the practical use of local waterbody data. If the pilot project succeeds, Geofishing can serve as a good example for developing user information and map-based data use for other Estonian lakes and rivers as well.
